On the Sunday 2nd, September 2018 (Yes Father’s Day) Toni & I tripped all the way down to Sydney to compete in the Semi-Pro Division of FloorPlay as a Doubles Act.
This was Toni & My first ever Floorplay comp but also our 1st ever duo together in a comp, but I was my first comp in a very long while, although not our first dealing with Floorplay a Pole Industry Competition without Poles, as mPole has had a few ladies represent us a Floorplay over the years.
In 2016 Miss Kitty Blue in the Semi-Pro Division taking the Miss Congeniality award
In 2017 we had the Blue Babes in Semi-Pro & the beautiful Ebunny in Amateur
But 2018 it was Toni & my turn to represent & we decided to go with a less theme styled routine and danced to a song called “I Get Off” by Halestorm. Here are some photos of us up on stage.
Our fun facts included that Toni and I usually have the costume designed long before we ever finishing the choreography to any routine, we don’t usually finish many, life tends to get in the way. But surprisingly we didn’t have a costume planned for the routine, until the week of the comp, which I was madly sewing together the week leading into the competition.
Floorplay is a great fun comp that allows you to focus on just dancing rather than the added pressures of getting your grip, spin & everything else just right for a Pole Competition.
Be sure to check to check it out next year.
